Hoof Picks Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 20, 2026
Hoof Picks ("the App") is a novelty random-number utility for entertainment purposes only. It is not a gambling app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any lottery, state lottery, or their operators. This policy explains what data the App stores on your device, what it sends to servers, and which third-party services it uses.
Data Stored Only On Your Device
If you tap "Save Pick," the App stores your generated numbers locally on your device. Your settings are also stored locally. This data is not sent to us. You can delete saved picks at any time with "Clear all" or "Remove" in the App, or by uninstalling the App.
Data The App Sends To Servers
- Anonymous identifier. To provide Group Draws, the App signs you in anonymously with Google Firebase Authentication. This creates a random ID that is not linked to your name, email address, or phone number.
- Group Draw content. If you host or join a Group Draw, the draw title, the numbers, and any name or label you type when claiming a number (up to 20 characters) are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and are visible to other people who have the draw code. Please do not enter sensitive personal information as a label. Finished Group Draws stay in our database so that everyone who took part keeps their results. To have a draw or your anonymous ID removed, email us (see below).
- Push notification token. If you allow notifications, the App stores an Expo push token, tied to your anonymous ID, so that actions in a Group Draw you are part of can notify you. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
- Subscriptions. The optional Short Go subscription is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active; RevenueCat receives purchase information and an anonymous app user ID. We never see your payment card details.
- Advertising. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), your IP address (from which approximate location may be inferred), and app-interaction data to show and measure ads. On iOS the App asks for your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. Short Go removes ads.
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location.
Third-Party Services
The App uses Google Firebase, Expo (push notifications), RevenueCat (subscriptions), and Google AdMob (advertising). Each has its own privacy policy that governs its handling of data.
Sharing
If you use the "Share" feature, the App uses your device's built-in share sheet to let you send a text message through apps you already have installed (e.g., Messages, Mail). We do not receive a copy of anything you share this way.
Children's Privacy
Hoof Picks is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Choices And Deletion
Uninstalling the App removes the data stored on your device. To request deletion of Group Draw data or your anonymous ID from our servers, email hoofpicksappsupport@gmail.com.
